DESCRIPTION :
The lab setup consists of a channel with deepened entry section having sufficient length and width in which water is supplied from the bottom. Required Notch is fitted at one end of this channel. Up stream from the face Notch, a gauge well is provided where a hook gauge is fitted. Arrangement for fixing interchangeable notches is made. Set of 3 brass notches, i.e. rectangular notch, 600 V notch & 450 V notch is provided along with the set-up. The set-up can be connected to Hydraulic Bench with flexible pipe line.
EXPERIMENTATION:
To determine co-efficient of discharge (Cd) through: -
- V notch (60°& 45°).
- Rectangular Notch.
