SUB - BOILING DISTILLATION ASSEMBLY
Water Distillation Unit
The Sub Boiling Distillation Assembly is made from electronic grade transparent fused quartz. Every possible contact of liquid has been avoided with the ground joint connections. The joints on the inlet pipe and the outlet vessel are so placed that impurities are removed via the outer wall. The method adopted for distillation Surface Evaporation. The evaporation takes place without boiling by the action heaters. Evaporation is on the surface and the vapours are heaters. Condensed by a cold finger. During this process of evaporation the liquid perfectly calm. The filling of the vessel takes place by means special inlet funnel. The distillation rate/purity could be controlled through a suitable Auto Transformer or Variable Transformer (optional at extra cost).

These results have been achieved using commercial of acid (with impurity concentrations of greater than 100ng/ml) together with desalinized water.

These values were achieved when the apparatus and all the ancillary vessels were treated prior to the distillation with concentrated HNO3 and of course the usual operational procedures for achieving high purity levels were observed.
The advantages of Sub Boiling Distillation:
- Very economical for production of ultra-pure acids and solvents from low grade reagent.
- Save up to 92% of cost of ultra-pure acids.
- Up to 750 ml. ultra-pure distillate in an hour.
- Advantages to produce fresh acids/solvents before each analysis there by avoiding storage and contamination.
The Sub Boiling Distillation Assembly is available in 4 models with yield range of 200ml/hour, 500ml/hour, 1000ml/hour & 2000ml/hour. This has been calculated for water.
